1,000 people on our waitlist and other updates

A couple weeks out of stealth, Singulate surpasses 1,000 waitlist users, debuts at SaaStock and signs GTM advisors. Read thoughts on the future of AI cold outreach vs. AI marketing and some FAQs about what we're building.

October was quite the month.

We publicly announced our company and rocketed past 1,000 users on our waitlist — the reception was better than we expected (Linkedin post) and the excitement for what we’re building is tangible.

Back at Hopin in 2019, I remember it was like pulling teeth to get someone to sit down for a demo of a virtual events platform (this was well before the pandemic). With Singulate, everybody wants to see it. Email marketing is such a massive space and the pain points we're solving in segmentation and personalization at scale are felt by millions of businesses.

We also signed not one, not two, but six strategic GTM advisors — a group of absolute baller B2B marketing influencers I’m sure you’ll recognize from Linkedin. You’ll meet them soon.

To top it off, our team had a booth at SaaStock in Dublin where we showcased Singulate out in public for the first time.

We were easily one of the earliest stage companies on the floor but one of the busier booths. I think it was because there's a lot of curiosity around what’s coming in AI and marketing technology. Not for sales, but for marketing — there’s an important difference…

Marketers are hungry for better AI solutions.

Unpopular opinion: AI cold outreach is on a sinking ship, fewer than 25% of cold-outreach emails are opened. Inboxes are clamping down. People are getting tired of fake inauthentic AI personalization. If you don't believe that, you're probably selling. Every marketer I speak to says they try it, it works in the short-term, but they eventually burn through their list and churn the product, potentially hurting their domain reputation or brand.

Part of the problem is AI cold outreach is a volume game. Because the content is generally the same format, the higher the quantity, the more meetings booked. This is where spam and abuse and deliverability become issues. But in AI marketing, it's more of a quality game. It's about content, events, product education, and building trust. Personalization, in marketing, is (or should be) invisible — the communication should just be thoughtful, high-quality, and relevant to the individual. 

This — relevance-personalization — at scale wins in the long run and it builds a better brand.

But it’s extremely hard to do.

Well, AI is an extremely powerful tool. And studies show we're still early. So far, we’ve only seen mostly reactive AI solutions come out in a first mover land grab, but foundational AI solutions are still developing. This is a $2 trillion shift across industries and verticals, with a huge appetite in B2B marketing, where we’re building.

How is Singulate different from AI cold outreach tools?

This is a whole blog post on its own. The short answer is that Singulate focuses on more complex mid-funnel marketing use cases (see question below). We bring in product data, CRM data, and events and give the marketer more compositional tools to write for the individual at scale: to easily transform data on the fly, quickly segment audiences and create branches, and individualize content within branded templates for campaigns and automations. The second difference we offer is newer: control and AI review and verification at scale. The third is AI analytics and insights, the 4th is our proprietary engagement LLM.

I haven't seen the product. Where can I see how it works?

How much does Singulate cost?

Unfortunately, I have to give the lame answer of “it depends” — it depends on your data, tech stack, user base, and use cases. We’re priced for B2B, so it’s fairly customized to your business. I will say this: we are currently taking on a limited number of design partners, so now is the time to get in touch as we’re still early.

Does Singulate integrate with my CRM? What about my product?

Singulate is a CRM’s best friend. Whether your data is clean and structured, or messy and unstructured, Singulate works with both. If needed, we offer data and copywriting services, so don’t let “messy” data be a reason you don’t talk to us. That’s exactly the problem LLMs help fix.
